Glypthoteke is a museum that houses art from the archaic, hellinistic,
classical and Roman times.
About 1000 feet from these two buildings (museums), through the
trees was a Nazi headquarter. The Nazi's used to march through this
square on any special occasion b/c they admired the architecture
and old style of buildings. They were very against new art!
I think the Glypthoteke has always served as a museum, because
when someone tried to bomb the Nazi headquarters, they missed and
hit the Glypthoteke. It was rebuilt and what ever art was saved
was put back on display.

Museum across from Glypthoteke.
Notice the pediment sculpture at the top of the building. Remember,
the person being worshipped is in the middle with every other statue
getting further to the ground. This is what the pieces of the pediment
sculpture I already sent would have looked like on a building.
