DoubleDecker2000.com Newsletter

June 2005     Volume 1

First Issue!

Welcome to the first issue of the DoubleDecker2000 Facts & Fun Newsletter. Each issue will include some handy computer information (which I call "Techno-Babble") and some non-computer information because there's more to life than computers—or so I've been told.

We will be experimenting with some web technologies (vote casting, pop-up trivia answers, etc.), so PLEASE tell us if any part of this online newsletter does not function properly for you.    Enjoy!

Beware of eBay "Spoof Emails"

eBay ArticleBeware of emails that appear to come from eBay® or PayPal®. These messages provide links that ask you to confirm your personal account information. They do NOT come from eBay or PayPal. We have received several such emails recently. A sample of a "spoof email" and eBay's fast response are included in this issue. Click here to read more about it.

Improve your Internet searching with these
Boolean Search Tools

  1. If you type bicycle tires as your search string, you will get all web sites that contain either the words bicycle or tires.
  2. Put a plus sign (+) in front of the words that the site must contain: +bicycle +tires, and you will only get the web sites that contain both words in any order.
  3. Put a minus sign (-) in front of the word you want to exclude: bicycle -tires, and you will get the web sites that contain the word bicycle but do not contain the word tires.
  4. Put your search words in quotes ("_"): "bicycle tires" and you will only get the sites that contain these two words together in this order.

Sample Products

In 1987, Hank Harvard began making yard decorations for his wife, Patty. With his exceptional artistic talent, he turned pieces of wood and buckets of paint into masterpieces.

It didn't take long for friends and family to start ordering their own decorations. By 1989, Hank's hobby had become a full-time job, and Classie Cutouts was born.

Because of the volume of custom orders Classie Cutouts receives, it's never too early to place your order for party, holiday and event decorations. A modest deposit of $20 will get your order underway with guaranteed on-time delivery.

I personally own several larger-than-life holiday decorations created by Classie Cutouts. They are superior quality, and the detail of the hand-painted artwork is spectacular.
